We started towards the pass and stopped for a tea break at just shy of 4000m. I am still in a T-shirt and it is quite warm. The climb has gone really well. With a short day we really aren't trying to hurry to much.
We ran into some younger girls in one of the villages that offered marriage and to give us a kiss and told us they loved us. It was probably the most we have have heard from the locals. Typically it's just namaste.
They use a big satellite looking dish to heat the kettle here. It reflects light toward a center point.
It's nice to be on the the move today. After resting it was really nice having the break day to acclimatize.
Lunch break in yak kharka. We are now at 4050 meters. We will climb another 200 or so to where we will stay. We will be done hiking today by 3:30 or 4.
We just got to Ledar which sits at 4200m. It was a pretty easy 4 hours of hiking today. Tomorrow is a bit shorter in distance and time.
We ended the day on a acclimatization hike were you hike up a hill to get some altitude above where you sleep.
Ouch for the blister. Cute about the girls offering to kiss and marry you.
