Climbing and other shenanigans

Last night was our night to go out. We went out with some people at our hostel. It was a good time. We are in the bar district in Cape Town so we went bar hopping. An interesting activity when you don't drink but I met some really cool people. The people we went out with were from Germany and also Ireland and they were a lot of fun. It was a late night though. We went a couple of different places from a dance type club to a beer bar to an Irish pub. And for today.... Rock climbing.

Waiting for a train again to take us from Kalk bay where we climbed. It was so good to be on the rock again. I wish I could say I climbed well but that's far from the truth. You lose it quickly. You couldn't ask for a better backdrop though.

Furry caterpillar
It reminded me of climbing in Thailand. It was a Little cold though. It was a lot of fun. I look forward to getting out and climbing again.
On the plane a guy told Me that if you take the plant species on table mountain there are more than the rest of Africa combined. I am not sure on the veracity of the statement but it really is incredible to see all the different plants.

After climbing we got food and then had some time to kill so we wandered the beach. We went out to a lire where they were fishing and found there was a deal out there hanging out. I went to get a picture with the seal and the thing barked at me and started coming towards me trying to bite me. Kind of scary honestly.

We have spent a bit of time now exploring this part of town. It really is pretty. It's funny though because I have also started to recognize the beggars on the trains. They must work the same train routes day after day.

The hostel is cool. We are sitting around watching the avengers and we have people from all over the world. Sitting watching tv isn't the norm but its cold and windy. Hardly ideal for going out

I decided to venture out on my own for dinner tonight and went to a Indian restaurant and had some curry. It's always fun to go see what else is out there.
